Lingerie as Swim Wear? Hell yeah, hear me out.

We think it all the time:

"Why is a bathing suit a perfectly acceptable entire outfit, but lingerie/underwear is somehow a different story when they're putting in the same coverage work?"

We feel it all the time:

"I wanna be where the swim is happening, but I have no intention of jumping in."

So.. Why not mash these two together and hit the beach in your lingerie?!

Hear me out, folks:

- What they say is true; all the 'taboo bits' of us are generally covered to the same 'acceptable' extent when wearing 'undergarments' as they are when wearing a bathing suit.

- In my experience, a wireless bralette is SIGNIFICANTLY more comfortable than a swim top.

- A bralette allows for the same exposure to sun and that sweet beachy breeze and 'I'm summer-livin' mood that a swim top does - you'll be summer-livin' just fine and still catch that tan you're (probably) going for.

- If you're not getting in, why dress for it?

A curveball, just real quick - let me set the scene:

You DID go to swim.

You swam.

You're out, and you wanna lie out for the rest of your visit.

Your top is dripping wet and uncomfortable, it's cold, it's heavy, you just feel soggy - why not CHANGE into a bralette?

Rid yourself of that somehow-now-20-pounds-heavier swim top, dry off, and throw on a bralette for the same coverage and feel without all that uncomfy wet and cold!

An even CURVIER ball:

YOU SWIM - ACTUALLY SWIM - IN YOUR LINGERIE.

It's fine. As long as you aren't currently nursing, then you don't really 'need' the lining that most bathing suit tops offer.

If you're STILL not quite sold, scroll for photos of some styling inspo as well as Willow Layne being put to the test. (And absolutely acing it - I felt less at risk of falling out of my top and the bralettes dried so fast I was able to skip that miserable 20 lbs of soggy top I touched on earlier. Just a dream.)
